Ok finally worked out the links issue

Posted in Technology Related, and Uncategorized

Ok i’ve finally worked out the links issue.

When you want to place a link in your journal using semagic, simply hit control m type in the www address and tab to the text link box and type in the links title example fucked up shitter site or something like that.

Works well as i’ll demonstrate here.

If you wanna check out a cool podcast, then visit

Excellent podcast if I do say so myself and you’ll love it.

There, very very easy beats lodge journal hands down and I give this app 10 out of 10..

Chat to ya all tomorrow.

Ok i think i’m wrong

Posted in Technology Related, and Uncategorized

Ok i’m wrong I think.

So much for my f11 letting you tab between options and see all the post options before posting.
Also downloading the nokia client is a challenge and i’m seeking help from the hd boys regarding this.

Just finished 2 bacon and egg sandwiches so im’ happy.

Still have this swollen ear canal which is annoying me to no end.

Cheers and talk to ya all later.

Ok it’s official

Posted in Technology Related, and Uncategorized

Ok it’s now official.
This new semagic client is absolutely fantastic.
I urge all live journal posters to give it a try.
The link is in my previous entry but for those who are very very lazy you can grab it from

http://semagic.sourceforge.net

Also there’s a nice wizzy wig mode so you can see what your entry will look like on the net.

Just a tip for those who install this client, when you first setup the client, make sure you hit f 11 so you can tab through all the post options before you post your entry.

I’m now going to grab the nokia phone client and post an entry using that client.

Cheers.

Just as an afterthought, it looks like you have to hit f11 when you open the client.
If I find a work around, i’ll let you all know.

New livejournal client

Posted in Technology Related, and Uncategorized

Ok i’m now playing with a new client called semagic.
Very cool works well with speech and I’m highly impressed.
I’ll also be trying out a new nokia client for my nokia 6600 phone so I can post journal entries from the lunch room at work.
How conveenient would this be?

Also in other news, i’m now back with internode and am much much happier with the service.
I found the other provider’s service had shocking fucked up overseas speeds and the performance was absolutely dismal to say the least.

I’ll post some more a little later on.

Just playing with this new client and hope others switch to it as well.

Boys, give it a try.

The link to grab it from is

http://semagic.sourceforge.net

Man that’s so easy to now paste in a link in to a journal entry.

Very very impressed.

See ya all a little later on.

Ok adsl sagar finally comes to an end

Posted in Technology Related, and Uncategorized

Ok basically i’ve had this adsl sagar since I changed over to EFTel for adsl.

I couldn’t bring up any websites or any port 80 traffic.

Turns out thanks to my very fine friend Aaron that the url content filtering was enabled stopping sites coming up.

glad the sagar is over and everything is working fine now.

I’ll sit back enjoy my service and write more tomorrow.

On friday i’m going to Adam’s home for a bbq and it will rock.

Am looking heaps forward to it and will post more then.

Cheers.

Sausages and lamb chops rock baby.

New skype release

Posted in Technology Related, and Uncategorized

Ok all.

I’ve installed the new skype release that offers better audio quality and you can now pay for voice mail.
At the moment voice mail is good but we can’t access the record a greeting function which did work in the previous beta.
I’ve written an email to skype in the support forums and here’s the letter I wrote to them.
Please comment on this and i’ll post there reply if they decide to reply.
Fucken didiots I really hate it when a fucking developer takes away keyboard access to a perfectly usable function which was working and now it’s not.

Please find my lettter below.

Hi there.

I’m writing today to express disappointment in the fact there seem to be no keyboard shortcuts to the record and play functions in the voice mail portion of skype.

Previously you could choose options then click the voice mail tab and could use your tab key to access the record and play buttons.
This functionality is especially useful for blind people such as myself.
How are we meant to record a new voice mail greeting now that access to the record and playback functions have been taken away from us?
It appears now to record a new voice mail greeting, you have to click a picture on the voice mail window.
This isn’t going to work for blind people who use screen reading technology and I urge the skype developer’s to restore this keyboard access to the voice mail greeting functionality.
This was working fine in the previous beta so why take a perfectly good feature away from us?

Can I please have an undertaking from you that this functionality will be restored in a future release?
I’ve paid good money to use voice mail and can’t record a greeting because keyboard access has been taken away and I can’t use a mouse to access the record picture on the screen.

If there is another way of recording a voice mail greeting, please let me know.

Can you bring out a release asap so I can use voice mail and record a greeting?
Thanks for your assistance on the above.

New software read this now not next month

Posted in Technology Related, and Uncategorized

Ok i’d like to proclaim some new software that really works.
If your prepared to use your mouse pointer, you too can enjoy a great piece of software called CounterSpy.
This fine application beat other spyware detection programs and also has built in application monitoring which stops the spyware from being installed in the first place.
I’d seriously you all visit the below website and grab a 15 day trial.
It’s only 19.95 us dollars for a years worth of updates so check it out at the web site
Sunbelt Software Website

grab it and have a look.

Id’ be interested in your comments regarding this entry.

cheers.
