Success at long last

Posted in Uncategorized

Ok i’ve finally had some success at long last.
I’ve managed to label the play record and reset default greetings graphics.

Basically I want to thank my very good friend Gary for his efforts and i’ll buy him a free drink.
He showed me where the graphics were for voice mail and with a bit of fiddling around I could record my own voice mail greeting.

Very very cool.

Also on news around here, i’m buying myself a new billion my guard 7500gl modem router.
It has a built in access point, vpn end to end capabilities and also qos for people who use voice over ip phone services.

I can’t wait.

I’ll be ordering the fucker on monday so hope to have it asap.

Cheers and long live billion and skype.

New skype release

Posted in Technology Related, and Uncategorized

Ok all.

I’ve installed the new skype release that offers better audio quality and you can now pay for voice mail.
At the moment voice mail is good but we can’t access the record a greeting function which did work in the previous beta.
I’ve written an email to skype in the support forums and here’s the letter I wrote to them.
Please comment on this and i’ll post there reply if they decide to reply.
Fucken didiots I really hate it when a fucking developer takes away keyboard access to a perfectly usable function which was working and now it’s not.

Please find my lettter below.

Hi there.

I’m writing today to express disappointment in the fact there seem to be no keyboard shortcuts to the record and play functions in the voice mail portion of skype.

Previously you could choose options then click the voice mail tab and could use your tab key to access the record and play buttons.
This functionality is especially useful for blind people such as myself.
How are we meant to record a new voice mail greeting now that access to the record and playback functions have been taken away from us?
It appears now to record a new voice mail greeting, you have to click a picture on the voice mail window.
This isn’t going to work for blind people who use screen reading technology and I urge the skype developer’s to restore this keyboard access to the voice mail greeting functionality.
This was working fine in the previous beta so why take a perfectly good feature away from us?

Can I please have an undertaking from you that this functionality will be restored in a future release?
I’ve paid good money to use voice mail and can’t record a greeting because keyboard access has been taken away and I can’t use a mouse to access the record picture on the screen.

If there is another way of recording a voice mail greeting, please let me know.

Can you bring out a release asap so I can use voice mail and record a greeting?
Thanks for your assistance on the above.

Second day back at work

Posted in Uncategorized

Ok today is my second day back at work.
Yesterday went fine and I was really happy doing support on the retail support queue.
at least I can look up all customer details and don’t have to rely on the other hd boys for assistance.
Long live css.
It’s a legend and will always remain a favourite application of mine.
I don’t care what anyone else says, it’s a bit of a learning curve but it sure beats billmax for ease of use.
billmax is like gtreading water and trying to breathe all at the same time.

On a happier note, I want everyone to take a look at
www.jamster.com.au

The ringtones are absolutely fantastic and rock baby.

go and grab a ringtone today and remember, boys love Milkshakes large or small makes no fucking difference to me.
I prefer the larger variety the ones you can hold in both hands and enjoy the feeling of the shake and wobble.

Seriously look after your girl if you have one cause women should be admired and commended for there efforts as well as recieving free doughnuts each day.

Cheers and catch ya all round like a jar of peanut butter.

Also I love chocolate fudge sundays.
Pity it’s tuesday not sunday.

Catch ya.

New software read this now not next month

Posted in Technology Related, and Uncategorized

Ok i’d like to proclaim some new software that really works.
If your prepared to use your mouse pointer, you too can enjoy a great piece of software called CounterSpy.
This fine application beat other spyware detection programs and also has built in application monitoring which stops the spyware from being installed in the first place.
I’d seriously you all visit the below website and grab a 15 day trial.
It’s only 19.95 us dollars for a years worth of updates so check it out at the web site
Sunbelt Software Website

grab it and have a look.

Id’ be interested in your comments regarding this entry.

cheers.
