Holiday to the gold coast report

Posted in Uncategorized

Ok i’d like to write a long entry today concerning my holiday to the gold coast that started 20th of february.

Ok I left home around 09:30 am Sunday and arrived at the airport around 10:30 or there abouts give or take a few minutes we’re not going to nitpick on the exact time here folks.
Once checking in at the airport we flew in to the gold coast around 12:05 qld time.
after arriving and collecting baggage and picking up the hire car, we set forth to the motel.
On the way to the motel, we picked up a very fine citizen mr Ebner who happened to be up in briso at the time and was on his way back.
Once we had arrived at the motel, we were annoyed and absolutely spitting chips to find out you had to leave your room key in the lock to keep the airconditioning active.
We thought fuck this for a joke so Clint came up with one of the coolest ideas he’s ever had in the last 24 years or so.

He decided to try using a bottle opener in the slot where you’d normally leave your room key to keep the cool air happening.

Much to our amazement it worked like a charm.
Basically we had 18 degree coolness to come back to later on that evening.

Then Kath and I anc Clint decided enough was enough and we were hungry so we headed out to the local Macdonald’s for some good old burgers and fries.
The others had some chicken salad roll thing but me I was prepared to stay with my belovered cheese burgers and fries sorry chips for all those who hate the word fries.

After this, we had a communication brakedown trying to locate my long lost brother Adam stuck in Lenox head.
We were supposed to meat at the macadamia castle but try as we might, there was no fucking castle anywhere. Probably due to it’s being back in the day of the ball war or something like that.

We decided to meet at a lookout and fuck was it windy. I’ve never been in huge gusts of wind like this man.
It was awesome and would do it again asap.
Finally after locating the lost explorers, we went down to meet adam’s girlfriend’s sorry adam’s soon to be wife’s parents.
very nice people and they should be commended for raising such a fine human being.
We went out for dinner to a cool restront called pelicon 181 and fuck i’ve never eaten such large fat calamarie rings in all my life.
They wer huge man and I had great difficulty eating them.
After the great dinner, we then made our way home and hit the sack quite hard and fell asleep.

The next morning adam Diana who is adam’s soon to be wife went to dreamworld.

Man oh man some of the rides there were scary but fuck they were awesome and definently heaps better then the now fefunked australia’s wonderland.
My favourite ride of all time was the claw.
a great ride and it goes upside down and it is the coolest ride.
Unfortunately the queue for the bigdrop was way too long and so we had to give that a wide birth.

We had a great lunch in an all you can eat restront and the icecream and salads were great.
Unfortunately everything was cooked in sesame oil so I wasn’t able to eat any of it accept the salads and icecream and deserts.
Thanks to Adam for checking this out.

After the thrills and spills at dreamworld, we headed home to get ready to meet a friend of Kath and clint’s who’s a cool dude.
He’s in to i t like the rest of us and Rob, your a cool dude man.
Hope to meet again soon.
We went to the coolest pub actually the hope island yacht club and the music was awesome. Dance music and I decided to try a seafood platter for one.
Unfortunately it came with a fucking huge crab which I couldn’t crack open myself so seeked some assistance from Kath who pain stakingly cracked the fucker open and yeh not much meat in the fucker worse luck.
Never the less, it was a great night and we crashed after heading back.

This morning we simply had the coolest breakfast at the coffee club.
I had the huge breakfast which consisted of
a steak, eggs, mini sausages tomatoe mushroom and toast.
Very filling and enjoyable.

We then had a couple of hours to kill cause our return flight was delayed.

In conclusion, i’d like to thank Kathy and clint and Adam and Diana for there hospitality and assistance during this trip of life.

It was one of the finest trips i’ve ever been on and you know what? I didn’t miss my internet connection once.

Thanks again and will catch you all tomorrow for another fine update in this fine journal.
